Changes in trends in cemeteries in recent years have seen lawn graves become more popular than traditional monument graves.

The graves listed below are available at the Eastern Cemetery, Geelong. Other styles of graves available depend on the location of the grave by cemetery and section. The images provided are by courtesy of the Geelong Cemeteries Trust.

These are of a standard design and provision is made for a separate headstone for each grave.
Lawn Monument Graves (click here to view)
Lawn monument graves have provision for a double monument to be approved for two adjacent gravesites. Each grave is larger that standard size.

In most cemeteries where monumental work is permitted, restrictions apply to the type of construction and materials which are used.
These are of a standard design and provision is made for a separate plaque for each grave. Plaques may be ordered at the Administration Office of Geelong Cemeteries Trust.
