If you are a member of a religious denomination, your priest or minister will most likely be the obvious person to conduct the funeral service. You may wish to inform the minister that a death has occurred, and the Funeral Director usually makes contact with them to confirm the day and time of the funeral.
Civil celebrants (male and female) are also available to conduct funeral services. Celebrants can provide a service that is appropriate to the needs and cultural beliefs of the client family. The Funeral Director has a resource bank of Celebrants from which the family may choose. We are willing to recommend someone we feel is suitable if required.
To see a list of the civil celebrants who are members of the Australian Federation of Civil Celebrants (AFCC), visit www.civilcelebrants.com.au. Although, not all our celebrants are members of the AFCC. Naturally, the standard of celebrants we do engage is of the highest order.
